POD Progress

 I sewed several times last week and am happy to have finished a few more blocks for my POD.

     Standard Book of Spells 1 - 7                Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans

The Standard Books took 2.5 hours.  Bertie Bott's took 4.5 hours.  I spent a few hours working on the Acromantula block and totally wasted 40 minutes sewing the head with background fabric instead of the head fabric.  Ugh!  I also spent 3 hours sewing the Ripped Book (the book the Monster Book of Monsters is eating).  I made a few errors but made some creative choices to "fix" the errors.  The Ripped Book was quite challenging but I'm very happy with my progress.  I'm particularly happy with how I lined up the pages (lines).  That took a LOT of time and effort!

Choosing fabrics for the individual books is so challenging for me.  Why?  A bookshelf has all kinds of books and the covers aren't colour coordinated.  I need to get over it/myself and make choices.  

I'm still working on my list of UFOs.
