Acromantula -another block done for my POD

I finished another block for the POD.  Acromantula - 4 hours and 10 minutes, including the 40 minutes I spent sewing the head with the wrong fabric.  I'm happy with the final result.

I used glow-in-the-dark dinosaur fabric for the eyes.  The eyes are smaller than the nail on my baby finger, but it worked!
Oops!  Wrong fabric for the head.    Glow in the dark dinosaurs    Can you see the eyes glowing?

I think I'm becoming obsessed with this quilt.  I'm thinking about it all the time.  I even wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the next block I'm going to make, and the one after that.

I want to make ALL of the POD blocks but need to be realistic.  They won't all fit in one quilt so I'm carefully considering my choices and how I can fit smaller blocks or parts into the larger blocks.

I started the Sorting Hat and Crookshanks - a double block.  I'm going to make the Golden Snitch next and see if I can fit it in above Crookshanks head - as if the Snitch is teasing Crookshanks.

Crookshanks is a sour pus!  It was a challenge to get everything lined up, but perseverance is key.

After I finish this, I'll go back to working on the Ripped Book block.  I'm going to put the Howler above it and then combine it with the Monster Book of Books to make another double book.
