Crookshanks, the Sorting Hat and the Golden Snitch - POD Progress

 I finished Crookshanks, the Sorting Hat and the Golden Snitch.  It took 8.5 hours, including the 2 hours it took to make the Golden Snitch.  After I posted it to the POD Facebook account, I realized I sewed a piece of background fabric where I should have put orange for Crookshanks' tail.  This took another 30 minutes to  rip back 4 seams and replace the offending piece.  I'm getting very good with a seam ripper.  

9 hours in total for this double block.  All, in all though 4.5 hours for a single block isn't bad.

Crookshanks is missing a small section from his tail near the brim of the hat on the right side.

I was going to work on the Howler next, but my printer isn't working so I started on the tie block.  It was a challenge to get the striped fabric that I used on the end of the book pages lined up.  I happy with the final results.

                                      

3 books - Check out the open ends.  The stripes line up from the long piece with the small triangle on the end.  Yahoo!
